Orange County’s California and Florida court services have different access limits. Identify the state, verify the case match and request documents from that court.

California Superior Court and Florida’s Orange County Clerk provide different products. Match the state on a citation, judgment or case notice to the routes below. These are two identified jurisdictions, not a national search of every county named Orange.
The online services make different promises
Orange County, California
Criminal and Traffic Case Access separates a limited filing index from more detailed case information. The court warns that name-to-case associations can be wrong and that online data is not the official record. Ask for specific certified documents in person or in writing when that proof is required.
Orange County, Florida
The Clerk’s my eClerk guidance offers free viewing and ordinary copies. Most case types have online documents from 2009 onward. An older or unavailable image may require a records request even when a case can be located.

Identify the file
For mail, include case number, party name and birth date, document requested and years to search. A request for the dated disposition is more precise than an unspecified entire history.

Choose the request channel
Records request instructions provide online, mail and in-person routes. Mail goes to Orange County Clerk of Courts, 425 N. Orange Ave., Suite 150, Orlando, FL 32801. The page estimates contact within about 10 business days.

Separate request details from payment
Do not put Social Security numbers, bank details or card information into the online records-request message; the Clerk specifically warns against it.
Do not turn a result list into proof of conviction
Verify both attribution and outcome
A name hit identifies a case to investigate. Read the judgment or disposition for the particular charge before describing the result. Where the identifying information is insufficient, retain that uncertainty instead of assigning another person’s case to the subject.
